About Road Trip to #NewPalmyra

For ProtoCultural Paris I decided to do a road trip using all the fonctionalites offered by Google Street View though about a social and open protocol, to do a road trip to #NewPalmyra.

In order to this this, I’ve been looking for various destinations in the world called Palmyra or have a name declined from the name of the Syrian city like Palmyre, Palmire … During my trip, I’ve visited England, France, Venezuala, Australia, Colombia and USA. Travelling digitaly to all this various places, I wanted to show that Palmyra is more than just a city, it’s a part of our global culture.

We are all concerned by Palmyre because it is deeply settled in our civilizationnal heritage and it’s is also a part our everyday life, regardeless where we live and what we do. While the Palmyra, Syria, city is under attack and terror, we have to bring attention to it because in our own city or country, be it busy Megalopolis or lost Somewhereshire there is actually a place call Palmyra, a street name by Zenobia Queen, etc.

Everyone is invited to use #roadtriptonewpalmyra + #NewPalmyra on Instagram where picture will be gatherd all together to try the experience and share this digital photography with us. It’s even better if you also use the Instagram’s sharing tool to send them on Twitter !
